So could there be a thing I can do for my mac or the settings of the VirtualBox so my mac can run the app without the app lagging and being "Application Not Responding"? I'm thinking the problem might just be a sort of workload overhaul for the app to run while it's playing a game, just on the mac side of it and not inside the VirtualBox. This is because the game itself runs perfectly and reacts flawlessly to where the mouse is on the screen, just that the mouse input from my mac to the VirtualBox lags.

In addition to that, it seems more like the mac app of the VirtualBox of Windows XP slows down, and thus the mouse being slow is a side effect. I did notice that in the Mike's Monstrous Adventure game, the mouse was only very laggy on some screens and not that laggy (just like 2 second delay) on other "simpler" screens. I ran both games (Mike and Shrek:AC) but as you stated at the end of your message, it did't really fix the problem.

I'm assuming that it did update it, to the best of my non-tech savvy understanding. So, I think I managed to add 2 CPUs to the guest Windows XP, and I did the HAL update on the link you showed. Here is the log: Attachments Windows (30.02 KiB) Downloaded 4 times I did your test with Mike's Monstrous Adventure. The app itself (the virtualbox Windows XP app) on the dock reads "Application Not Responding", and I can't turn off Mouse integration. Game sound and animations run uninterrupted and smoothly but the mouse is basically inexistent. Mike's Monstrous Adventure runs (it seems to be a 2D game) but the mouse is almost completely frozen.

Shrek 2: AC installs what I think is an update to DirectX called "DirectX 9" but that game can still run even when Direct3D is disabled. They are "Shrek 2: Activity Center" and "Mike's Monstrous Adventure". I'm testing this out with 2 more games where this issue occurs, although they don't necessarily need the Direct3D to run. Specifically Shrek 2 (which does require the DirectX 3D) So I did a little research and I read a suggestion to disable the dock monitor preview, and it seemed to solve the issue in one of the games.

Is it something with the processing? I really don't know what makes the mouse slow and with that, how to fix it.

When the mouse is captured in the VirtualBox, it runs very laggy and delayed, only when playing a 3D game. So the regular Mouse Integration, playing a 3D game the mouse is suuuuuper slow almost as if it's frozen. The character even reacts smoothly to the laggy speed of the mouse (as if the mouse was actually one-to-one) All graphics and characters and animations run smoothly. In both examples, I tried to play Shrek 2 for the PC.

Sometimes it jumps from across the screen and sometimes it slowly inches its way to where I moved it. If I do a circle motion, it takes a second to move in a circle, but it moves at varying speeds constantly. Now when I have it in the mouse capture mode, where it's a part of the VirtualBox and stays on it without leaving the screen, the mouse runs like if it's laggy. Even when I move the mouse outside the VirtualBox window, it takes a while for my computer to show the Mac mouse curser over whatever I have outside the VirtualBox window. All graphics and animations run smoothly but the mouse curser itself seems to be frozen and take a wile to show its new position on the screen. Whenever I run a CD game that requires the Direct3D Acceleration, the app of Windows XP on my Mac reads that "Application Not Responding" and the mouse does not move.
